So we made a trip to Michael's yesterday to get some much needed wedding stuff. After the experience I really looked back at this whole wedding planning we have done thus far. Notice I said “we”. I have not been solo in this and I am so happy about that!
I personally think that the wedding is not just “Her Big Day”. No, it’s the day where two, man and wife, become one. In our case it will be three :). The day where parents see their son and daughter, the ones they have raised and given a shoulder to cry on time and time again, make a commitment to the person they love. Sisters and Brothers see their sibling getting married. A day for friends and family to be witnesses to a thing as beautiful as love. A day that we, as the wedding couple and family, can say thank you for sharing in our lives and this special day with us.
It will not just be my day, as the bride. It’s our day. So to my wonderful fiancé I say thank you for being you and bringing a side out of me that I don’t think anybody else could have. To my son, there aren’t enough words to describe how you have changed me as a person inside and out. To my family, good times and bad, you were there and we are truly a crazy family like no other, wouldn’t have it any other way! To my friends, what can I say, you are like family and I love you!
